Are you the driving force behind optimizing cloud spend and delivering actionable financial insights?
As a cloud FinOps specialist, you will be at the heart of our financial strategy to maximize the efficiency and profitability of our cloud infrastructure.
Working closely with both the finance and engineering teams, you will develop innovative cost models, anticipate expenses, and design smart optimization strategies. Thanks to your expertise, you will provide better visibility into costs and contribute to the evolution of our FinOps function.
Here is a glimpse at your responsibilities:
- Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to develop accurate cloud cost forecasts, ensuring organization-wide visibility into cloud spending.
- Develop and maintain tools and dashboards to provide real-time insights that empower data-driven decision-making for key stakeholders.
- Deliver cloud spend reports that compare actuals to forecasts, sharing actionable insights and strategic recommendations with leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while ensuring cloud resource optimization.
- Stay ahead of industry best practices and innovations to continually enhance FinOps operations.
Here is what will qualify you for the role:
- You have experience with SQL and BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Mode to build insightful cost models and reports.
- You have a proven track record of translating complex financial data into clear, digestible insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- You are known for your strong collaboration skills, with experience working across finance, engineering, and applications teams.
- You have a proactive mindset and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization in cloud usage.
- You are passionnate for innovation and learning new technologies to drive continuous improvement in cloud cost management.
What would make you stand out:
- Experience managing cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), emphasizing the optimization of service usage and cost management strategies, including an understanding of reservation discounts and other cost-saving mechanisms.
- A deep understanding of FinOps practices and cloud financial management, with hands-on experience in optimizing cloud spend across multiple cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Python programming, automation and scripting to streamline cloud cost tracking and reporting processes.
